Deep Dive Dubai has been verified by Guinness World Records as the deepest swimming pool in the world
Dip Dive Dubai
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Aside from year-round sun and a massive, well-serviced international airport, Dubai continues to attract legions of foreign visitors due to its unparalleled penchant for publicity backed by its “let’s go” approach to new construction.
Stark solo finesse and theatrical performances are part of the city’s DNA – and in the age of frustrating international news, who can blame vacationers for their desire to escape from out-of-this-world reality?
And two new record-breaking destinations in Dubai offer just that.
Those who love free-falling in the mysterious watery terrain can now test their skills at Deep Dive Dubai – the only facility in the world where you can dive to depths of 60 metres, which is 15 meters deeper than any other space, not to mention four times larger.
Located in the Nad Al Sheba district of Dubai, Deep Dive Dubai has been verified by Guinness World Records as the world’s deepest swimming pool and contains 14 million liters of water, the equivalent of six Olympic-size swimming pools. To try it, you need to book in advance and it is only open to those 10 years old and over for scuba diving.
Built to resemble a vast sunken city, this creepy crater in the heart of the desert is equipped with 56 cameras to ensure the safety of visitors along with the latest lighting and sound systems.
“Through design, Deep Dive Dubai offers something truly unique to everyone and our team is committed to ensuring an unforgettable experience,” said Jarrod Jablonski, facility manager at last year’s launch event and himself a world-class cave diver.
Dubai expat Gautam Kulkarni from India recently took the lead in this unusual attraction and was suitably impressed.
“The snorkeling itself was very good – it’s amazing to go into a pool of normal depth and then suddenly open a whole abyss under you,” he told CNBC.
The only downside, he added, is the lack of marine life, but it’s great for a one-time experience.
Infinity pool
Head back outside in the dazzling Dubai sunshine and soar into the sky for 294 metres, and you’ll find another Guinness World Record – the outdoor infinity pool above the five-star luxury Address Beach Resort at JBR, the highest in the world.
Standing out from the 77th floor, the pool (also opened last year) is an Instagram-frenzied dream with incredible panoramic views of the city’s most famous landmarks like Bluewaters Island, Palm Jumeirah and the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab – although dizzy-prone swimmers should steer clear of the Edge with low breathable absorption.
The humid rooftop space gives off the look of a huge lagoon in the sky, while the space is also home to ZETA Seventy Seven, an elegant Asian restaurant with a seafood-inspired menu.
To ensure guests enjoy serene views and VIP treatment, the floor is only open to those over the age of 21.

Address Beach Resort, Dubai
“We’ve been coming to Dubai for years and it’s crazy, the place never stops looking like these amazing sights – you think they can’t top something and then they do,” said Stuart Davids, a UK tourist enjoying the address, telling us the hotel’s poolside cabins for CNBC.
He added, “We’ve been to some of the best hotels in Dubai, but this one is so special – the insane views, the amazing infinity pool, the service, everything.”
The Address Beach Resort is part of the twin towers project developed by Al Ain Holding along with The Address Beach Residence and consists of 217 hotel rooms and suites, 443 serviced apartments and 478 apartments.
These luxury pads are currently being snapped up in Dubai’s booming real estate market by the influx of wealthy individuals that rose to 54,000 in June 2021 from 52,000 in December 2020, achieving a growth of 3.8%, according to research firm New World Wealth.
