Google just announced this week that it’s working on a conversational AI system called Bard, powered by its in-house AI model LaMDA. Now, based on its years of AI research, Google sounds like it’s ready to take on AI systems like DALL-E and, more prominently, OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
The timing of Google’s event comes hot on the heels of Microsoft’s just-announced new Bing, which uses ChatGPT to power a “second pilot” AI bot that turns searches into chat conversations and is now live to test.
“Google Presents: Live from Paris,” the company’s event about its search engine and new AI technology, will take place on Wednesday, February 8 at 8:30am ET / 5:30am PT.
Google is live streaming its search and AI event from Paris on YouTube, which you can watch embedded above.
