Diablo Immortal now available on Android and iOS devices and in open beta on PC. The new game allows players to fight against the legions of Hell, whether alone or in raids of up to eight players.
If you’ve played Diablo 3, you’ll know Diablo Immortal. If you are new to the series, we will take you through everything you need to know to get started while fighting demons and other hellish beasts.
How to download Diablo Immortal
Diablo Immortal supports cross-play and cross-progression, which means you can play on the computer while you’re at home, and then pick up and play on your phone on the go.
On your mobile device, just find Diablo Immortal in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download. If you want to download the open beta version of your computer, you will have a few additional steps.
1 Log in to your Battle.net account
2. Go to Games> All Games and select Diablo Immortal
3. Hits Install to start the download
Note that on mobile devices you will be asked to withdraw additional assets after the initial withdrawal, although you will be able to log in and start the intro without additional withdrawals. Full download requires about 12 GB of space.
If you want to play on both mobile and computer, you will need to log in with your Battle.net account. You will be able to log in by selecting the option in the upper left corner of the main menu.
Which Diablo Immortal Class should I play?
Diablo Immortal offers players a choice of six different classes. Your class determines how you play the game, including which abilities you can learn, which statistics are relevant to your character, and most importantly, what all this bad armor looks like by the end of the game.
Once you start the game, your first step is to choose a class. Here is a brief breakdown of each class available at startup.
- barbarian: Great, bulky, barbarians spend their time in the midst of battle, using their abilities to break through enemies.
- Crusader: Warriors of the faith, crusaders enter the front line with heavy armor and sacred magic.
- Demon Hunter: Agile warriors, demon hunters use arrows, traps and high mobility to kill their enemies from a distance.
- monk: Masters of fist and spirit, monks use a combination of tricks and abilities fueled by divine energy.
- necromancer: Magical summoners who can raise the dead and command them to fight, blurring the line between life and death.
- Advisor: Strong but slippery users of magic who fight with a universal arcane arsenal.
You will be able to change your class after starting the game so that you are not locked in a particular class. Play around and see what fun it is to play – whether it’s a melee or a long-distance fighter, a physical fighter or a magic user, or an undead puppeteer.
Customize your Diablo character
Once you choose your class, you will be able to choose the way your character looks. You can choose from several pre-generated options or dive deep into the creator of the characters to choose your skin tone, hairstyle, hair color and a wide range of sliders for facial features. These customizations are purely cosmetic and do not affect your gameplay.
Basics of the game Diablo Immortal
Diablo games use an isometric third-party view, with players using movement, basic attacks, and other abilities to mow down waves of hellish minions and demons. On mobile devices, you will move by sliding your finger on the virtual joystick in the lower left corner of the screen. Your attacks, abilities, and other interactions (such as picking up items and talking to other characters) are displayed at the bottom right of the screen. The main gameplay includes navigating the map and attacking enemies.
But if you want to face the Lords of Hell, you will need more than just movement and cutting. You will need to use items and abilities to make your way through the demonic legions.
skills
Each class unlocks new skills as they progress. You can equip up to three skills in addition to your basic attack and supreme ability. The abilities you have determine how your character fights, whether with aggressive jumps, wide swings or distant explosions of damage. Try different combinations of abilities to see what interactions you can find – it’s tempting to just use the skills you unlocked last time, but you can find fun combinations by mixing and matching with older abilities.
Equipment
As you fight enemies, you will find weapons and different types of armor that will increase your statistics. All elements have a result that tells you relatively how strong this element is – the higher the result, the greater the boost of your strength. Some items may also offer bonuses to various statistics, which allows you to further customize your character. Do you want to do more damage? Equip something that increases your vitality. Do you want to avoid it in the first place? Stock up on increasing dexterity. You can distribute the statistical bonuses around or min-maximum as you wish.
Is Diablo Immortal free?
The biggest difference between Diablo Immortal and its predecessors? Microtransactions. The game is free to play, but at different times of the game you will be prompted with the opportunity to trade money for items in the game. In fact, these microtransactions prevented the game from being launched in Belgium and the Netherlands because they did not clear their laws against lootbox.
You don’t have to pay to get through the game, but these microtransactions are realistically necessary if you want to grind for optimal finite elements and PvP.
