Kingdom Hearts 4 is under development, Square Enix revealed on Sunday during a live broadcast for the 20th anniversary of the Disney video game series. The trailer (4:06 to 7:40) shows that the iconic trio of Sora, Donald and Goofy will return to action.
A new storyline called The Lost Arch of the Master will begin, and Sora will see her explore a city called Quadratum.
No release date or platforms were revealed, however Kingdom Hearts 3 came out six years after its announcement in 2013 and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch (although the latter is only available by streaming in the cloud).
The Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link mobile spinoff game, which will be available for iOS and Android devices, has also been unveiled. It will receive a closed beta test this year, but only in certain regions – Square Enix did not say which ones.
