February has arrived and one of the first events to take place at Pokemon Go this month is February Community Day. The event is scheduled for February 12 and will include another rare Pokemon, a new exclusive learning move for Community Day and other in-game bonuses. Here’s everything you need to know.
When is February Community Day?
The February Community Day is held on Saturday, February 12th. As usual, the event will last six hours, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
Pokemon: Hoppip was introduced in February
The star of February Community Day is grassy / flying pokemon Hopip. During the event, Hoppip will appear in the wild much more often than usual and you will have a better chance of meeting Shiny Hoppip.
There will also be a paid history for special research that will offer more chances to catch Hopip. A ticket to access the research history will cost $ 1 and will be available for purchase at the Pokemon Go store prior to the event.
Course of the event: Acrobatics
In addition to the increased amount of hop, your Pokemon will be able to learn a new exclusive move during February Community Day. Any Skiploom you evolve in Jumpluff before 7pm local time will learn charged acrobatic flying-type attacks.
Other event bonuses
Completing the Community Day bonuses in February, all incense and decoy modules you use during the event will remain active for three hours instead of their usual duration. You will also win triples the normal amount of stardust to catch Pokemon. Finally, a special Community Day package will be on sale at the item store. The package costs 1280 PokeCoins and includes the following:
- 50 ultra balls
- 2 super incubators
- 6 star pieces
- 1 Elite FastTM
