The age of cordless vacuum cleaners is here and the days of hauling a heavy and clumsy vacuum cleaner with a cable from socket to socket are over. Wireless vacuum offer the light weight and maneuverability of a hand-held vacuum cleaner, plus the powerful ability to suck and clean a cable model.
The best cordless vacuum cleaners are also multifunctional: most can handle different types of flooring, from hardwood to thick carpet, and often come with useful attachments (brush head is especially useful!) To help you with household chores. . If you have a choice between a large, clumsy machine that weighs a ton and is easy to maneuver, a powerful vacuum that you can carry around with one hand, well, you’ll probably choose the latter every time. The following products will keep you from feeling curled every time your vacuum cord attaches to furniture or a door frame, so you can simply clean without complications.
One company in particular saw this trend. Dyson was the first pioneer in this field with a series of capable and expensive Cyclone V series vacuum cleaners. Since then, other companies have followed suit and now sell their own wireless vacuum cleaners. Some are even shamelessly cloned Dyson products. Others are distinctive new reefs of the cordless vacuum cleaner, with their own innovative features.

We then subject them to a rigorous series of floor maintenance tests on hard floors, carpets and other surfaces. The process took over 150 hours to complete. He also consumes many pounds of sand and rice, plus hundreds of handfuls of pet hair. We then found that these products are our choice for the best cordless vacuum cleaner for 2022. We periodically update this list of cordless vacuum cleaners.

Say hello to Dyson’s newest and best vacuum cleaner, the $ 700 Dyson V15. As the company’s leading cordless vacuum cleaner, the V15 has an incredibly high price to match. This is the most expensive machine in our test group. Like its predecessor, the V11, the V15 went through our set of vacuum tests with relentless competence.
This cordless vacuum cleaner not only outperforms competitors from other brands. The V15 demonstrates more suction power than the Dyson V11, the previous champion of cordless vacuum cleaners. V15 also achieved these results when cleaning in our most difficult experience, sand.
He managed to remove 88.4% of the test sand we placed on the middle pillar carpet. V11 did 71.6% on the same test. More impressively, the V15 pulled out 95.3% of the sand particles we dropped on a low bucket carpet. That’s much better than the 78.4 percent that V11 managed to collect here. The V15 was also not phased by pet hair. Whether vacuuming hardwood carpets, low- and medium-sized carpets, the V15 barely left a lock behind.
Several other features help to differentiate the V15 Detect. One is the “Laser Slim Fluffy” cleaning head on the vacuum cleaner. Designed specifically for hardwood floors, it emits a green laser on the floor ahead as you clean. Its purpose is to highlight dust and other small particles, otherwise difficult to see with the naked eye. The system works and we have seen a lot of dirt that we would normally miss. One drawback, however, is that the laser is not visible in bright indoor lighting or sunlight.
The reading on the back of the vacuum is also interesting. This report lists the ratio of collected dirt to particle size. In addition, the battery, which is easier to remove, the vacuum design of the D15 without a bag remains almost the same. This is good, as we found that the trash cans on both models are easily emptied.
The vacuum cleaner comes with seven different cleaning attachments. Including the Laser Slim Fluffy, you get a high-torque cleaning head, a hair screw tool and a slit tool, to name a few. All this contributes to why the Dyson V15 Detect is currently the best wireless vacuum cleaner around, if spending a lot of money is not a barrier.

As the second best performer in our current test group, the Tineco A11 Hero is an exceptional deal. So much so that it officially took Shark Rocket Pet Pro Cordless out of our best selection for the best mid-range cordless vacuum cleaner. With an average of 72.5% capture of sand from carpets with medium bucket and 82.5% removal of sand from carpet with low bucket, Hero performs better. This cordless vacuum cleaner also costs less than a Shark, a fact that is hard to ignore.
The A11 Hero also handles pet hair without much trouble. Only a trace of the material remained after the machine vacuumed carpets and wooden floors. The protagonist left some locks visible as he traveled through our test carpet with a low bucket. Medium pillar rugs usually cause more problems with vacuum cleaners.
The design of the Hero is also not too shabby. The trash can is emptied almost as easily as the Rocket Pet Pro. The bin release valve is difficult to grip compared to the Shark model. That said, his battery pack can be removed. There is also a convenient trigger lock lever to keep the vacuum running without constant finger pressure.

Moosoo is not exactly a common name. Nevertheless, the Moosoo M X6 cordless vacuum cleaner has a respectable power, given its low price. Although it costs much less than competing cordless vacuum cleaner options, the M X6 was the fourth best manufacturer in our test group of eight models.
The vacuum cleaner collected 99% (average) of our hardwood test sand. For low carpet carpets, this figure dropped to 41.3%. However, the M X6 performed better on a thicker carpet with a middle layer, winning an average higher sand absorption of 52.2%.
Black rice, our soil for testing with large particles, was a breeze for the Moosoo vacuum. He managed to choose on average over 90% for hardwood, carpet with low and medium bucket (95.4, 96.8 and 94%, respectively).
However, do not buy the Moosoo M X6 if you own a pet. The disadvantages are that after vacuuming at least a little visible dandruff remains, regardless of the test surface. The brush roller tends to wrap and lock hair around.
However, if you want a low-budget cordless vacuum cleaner, consider the Moosoo M X6. This cordless vacuum cleaner with sticks can simply meet the bill for much less money.

If you want to own a Dyson vacuum cleaner, but prefer not to spend a lot of money, consider the Dyson V8 Absolute handheld vacuum cleaner. This descending wireless model is a few years old, but still has powerful suction and works like a champion. In our floor cleaning tests, the V8 came in a decent third place. In our test group, only Dyson V11 and Shark Rocket Pet Pro cleaned the floors better than V8.
On a hard floor under vacuum, it managed to absorb an average of 98% of the sand we dropped. For low carpet carpets, this average fell to 68.3%. The average fell even further across the middle carpet, although it remained at a respectable 52%.
Pet hair also did not bother the manual vacuum V8. The vacuum cleaner completely removes hair from the carpets with medium and low buckets. He failed to remove a small amount of dandruff on hard wood. In addition, some fibers wrapped around the roller of the vacuum brush. But the washable filter was convenient.
And like the V11 Torque Drive, the V8 Absolute upright vacuum comes with a generous range of accessories. This includes dust cleaners, a tool for cracking to reach narrow gaps, a soft cleaning head for bare floors, a motorized roller with a brush to catch dirt and debris, and a docking station to charge the battery. So for those who would like to own a Dyson brand vacuum cleaner for a little less money, the V8 Absolute is worth a look.

How we test cordless vacuum cleaners
Getting wireless vacuum cleaners through their steps is not as complicated as testing robot vacuum cleaner cleaner, but it still takes a lot of time and careful effort to find the best cordless vacuum cleaner. We run each vacuum cleaner in a straight line through three different surfaces (hardwood, low bucket carpet, medium bucket carpet). On all three test beds, the test area is the same length (30.25 inches).
The width of the test bed is proportional to the width of the vacuum nozzle. We measure this width ourselves. We also use the width of the nozzle plus the type of flooring to calculate the soil density for each test according to the guidelines of the International Electrotechnical Commission. The IEC is an international standardization body responsible for managing vacuum testing procedures, among other things, for vacuum manufacturers.
We use three types of soil. To simulate a small particle size, we use a mixture of play sand and landscaping sand. To mimic larger particles of dirt, we use uncooked black rice. To see how vacuum cleaners handle pet hair, we use our blend of clippings provided by our local pet groomer.
We perform three tests (minimum) on each type of floor. We also test the suction power with sand and rice separately. This reaches at least 18 vacuum tests. Weigh the dust bin of the vacuum cleaner before and after each performance.
From there we can calculate the percentage of dirt and debris for each movement and the average amount of soil that the vacuum manages to remove. In addition, we conduct anecdotal (visual) pet hair tests for each vacuum cleaner on all three types of floors to help us choose the best cordless vacuum cleaner.
