Clandestine Vineyards 2020 #geographe #tempranillo #rose – Very light, bright pink in colour, lifted floral aromatics with just a hint of dried herbs. It has a hint of fruit sweetness on the very attractive front palate, excellent mid-palate with a dry & crisp finish. DELIGHTFUL!!

A pretty strawberry blonde colour with rockmelon and pink grapefruit citrus. The bright line
of acid is what keeps me coming back, bone dry and juicy this is wine meant to be drunk in the
sun in the great outdoors, preferably with a charcuterie platter, pickles and orchard fruits.

Stuart Knox – The Real Review
Medium to pale rose-gold colour. A bush-scented nose of honeysuckle and eucalypt blossoms.
Good front-fruit fills the palate with fresh berries and some soft herb sidelines. Acidity
keeps it all in check and carries it quite long. A touch of sweetness is noted in the middle
but it doesn’t linger, thus leaving it to finish clean.

Q Wine Reviews
Lunch time done well. This is such a great drink. Savoury driven, this dry style Rosé brings
the mouth to water. Onion skin in appearance, some strawberry and red apple peel fruit bring the good times with
dried herbs and a fine creamy factor keeping everything in place. A delicious texture with a
ever so fine peppery spice that creeps through the mouth in stealth mode gradually building
momentum. Drinkability is sky high. Drink now.

Ken Gargett – Wine Pilot
From a vineyard in the Geographe region of West Australia, planted in 1996, this wine was made
with free run juice and minimal skin contact giving a light colour. Also older barrels used
for fermentation for texture with no lees stirring or malolactic ferments – only 3,600 bottles
produced. A lovely pale salmon pink. Gentle and subtle aromas; florals, rose petals, red fruits and
cherries. Seamless and fresh, this is a Rose that lingers. It is a modern style of Aussie Rose
and a mile ahead of those old clumsy sweeties. Simple and simply delicious – chill and drink
with a plate of fresh seafood.

Ray Jordan – Wine Pilot
Owner Nick Stacy said he was influenced by a visit to Spain with wine man Zar Brooks when they tasted a wide selection of rosés. Not exactly life changing but an experience which helped shape his views on the style and the choice of tempranillo as his rosé variety. This is a cracking example of modern Aussie rosé based on European blueprints. In fact, he admits to trying to replicate the savoury textural style of Spain. This is from Geographe and has a lovey mouthfeel. It’s 100 per cent barrel fermented and tasted soon after bottling it’s settled down rather well. It has a creamy textural feel in the mouth with a fine savoury acidity that helps sustain the long finish.
